Training

Gretchen’s training style blends her academic training as an anthropologist, her professional training as an ontological coach and ropes course facilitator, her avocation as an improvisational comedy performer and comedy writer, and her experience as a visual artist.

Her trainings have the reputation for being fun, engaging, interactive, informative, and deeply thought provoking….whether in person or online. Nicknamed “Sponge-Gretchen Smarty Pants” by a colleague, her interdisciplinary approach and cultural competence allows her to connect with diverse audiences.

Certified in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Forte Communications Profile, she can incorporate these into her training programs. Gretchen always includes a clear, powerful call to action for audiences, consistent with the client’s purpose for the training.

Gretchen has more than 30 years of training experience, spanning from one-time trainings to multi-day retreats. Her clients include universities, Fortune 500 corporations, associations, nonprofits, and community groups. Her audiences have included city/county managers, small business owners, flag officers, college students, C-suite executives, and people with disabilities. Gretchen loves the challenge of designing just the right training for each unique audience.
